Hull plate inserts and repair access

Vessel-side scaffolding supplied and erected to provide practical access for hull plating work. Defective sections were cropped, prepared and renewed with welded inserts, followed by cleaning and non-destructive examination of the completed weld areas.

Marine plough plate replacement

The initial scope called for preparation and reinstatement of the existing 35 mm plate. After edge chamfering and mobilisation, the onsite trial fit confirmed that severe distortion prevented correct alignment. Following the client’s instruction, a complete replacement plate was fabricated with the required profile and attachment details.

Fender tyre replacement

Worn and damaged tyres were removed from multiple marine fender units. Replacement tyres were prepared, installed and secured using the fenders’ chain arrangements to restore the assemblies for continued service.

Anchor windlass strip-down and condition assessment

A twin-drum hydraulic anchor windlass was received for workshop dismantling and assessment. Port and starboard components were identified, seized parts were removed using hydraulic equipment, and inspection exposed extensive corrosion, failed brake linings and wear requiring further repair decisions.

Class attendance, third-party NDT, testing requirements, specialist rigging, removals in way and final acceptance criteria are confirmed for each project.
